Memo is built to work for everyone. This page lists the accessibility features Memo supports on iPhone and how to turn them on. If something is not working for you, we want to hear about it.

Features Memo supports

VoiceOver. Every screen, control and list is labeled for VoiceOver, so you can navigate and use Memo with gestures, a keyboard, braille or speech output. The recording waveform, the live captions and the player each announce their state and can be operated without sight.

Voice Control. Controls carry spoken names, so you can tap, scroll and move through Memo by voice, for example “Tap Get Pro” or “Tap New memo”.

Larger Text (Dynamic Type). All of Memo’s text follows your text-size setting and scales to the largest accessibility sizes; the layout reflows so nothing is clipped. Turn it up in Settings › Accessibility › Display & Text Size › Larger Text.

Dark Interface. Memo has a full dark theme and follows your appearance setting automatically. Set it in Settings › Display & Brightness.

Differentiate Without Color Alone. Memo never relies on color alone to carry meaning: completed to-dos use a tick and a strike-through, rows use icons and labels, and states are shown with shapes and text as well as color.

Sufficient Contrast. Memo uses high-contrast text and system colors designed to stay legible in both light and dark.

Reduced Motion. When Reduce Motion is on, Memo replaces its animations and transitions with simple fades. Turn it on in Settings › Accessibility › Motion › Reduce Motion.

Private by design

Memo’s On-device AI keeps your audio, transcript and summary on your iPhone, so you can record, transcribe and read your notes privately, without an account and without a network.
